Ada R. Bradshaw 1924 ~ 2010 Ada Richardson Bradshaw, 85, of Kearns, Utah, passed away at home as the Sabbath arrived on October 3, 2010 of congestive heart failure. Born in Salt Lake City to Milo and Ida Richardson on Oct. 14, 1924, Adas life has been defined by her love of family and her testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Her partnership with Floyd, starting with their marriage in the Salt Lake Temple, continues through the eternities. Floyd fondly remembers the Tuesday Waltz Nights that helped keep their love strong. She and her husband raised nine children and two foster children. Her final days were filled with prayers to Heavenly Father to take her home to Heaven and expressions of love and concern for Floyd. She served faithfully in many church callings, including Relief Society president, primary president, temple receptionist, and church service missionary. Ada was very intelligent and creative. Numbers dancing in her head could keep her awake. Her paintings and handwork beautify many homes. Christmas dolls were certain to come with beautiful, modest wardrobes sewn late at night. Crocheted, stuffed, flying saucers, complete with aliens inside, delighted grandchildren. She was the wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother we each needed. Ada is remembered for her sweetness, strength, and love for husband, family, and neighbors. She molded our consciences, carried our burdens when we needed respite, and listened as no one else could. Ada is survived by her husband of 65 years, Floyd; sister, LaVerne Brasher (Burton); children: Dee Bradshaw (Ann), Neal Bradshaw (Virginia), Kathleen Astin (Dennis), Janice Johnson (Arlo), Carol Stott (Larry), Kim Bradshaw (Sandi), Donald Bradshaw (Susan), Christine Pratt (Scott), and JoLyne Merchant (Cody); 36 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild. Preceded in death by sister, Norma Richardson. Viewings will be Friday, Oct. 8, 2010, 6-8 pm at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S.
