Adelaido Sanchez, Jr., 86, of Safford, passed away November 22, 2017. He was born March 5, 1931, in Karnes City, Texas, the seventh child of eleven to Adelaido Sanchez Sr. and Maria Sanchez.
He and his brothers and sisters were raised as migrant workers and his family traveled all over Texas, Arizona and Colorado during different crop seasons. In 1955 while traveling through Franklin, Arizona, his oldest sister Carmen got sick and ended up passing away. The family decided to remain and settle in Franklin, Arizona.
Adelaido Jr. continued farming in Franklin Arizona, he never married or had children. In August of 2005 he had a heart attack and a stroke. Unable to give him the care he needed his surviving sisters decided to put him in a rest home, where he remained until he passed on November 22, 2017, ready to receive his Savior Jesus Christ.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, December 1, 2017 at St. Mary's Mission in Duncan, Arizona with interment in the Franklin Cemetery at a later date.
