It is with great sadness and heartache that the family of Adrian James Gomez announce his passing into eternal life on December 22, 2020, with his wife Lisa at his side.
Known to all as "AJ", he was born on January 24, 1975 in Morenci, AZ to David and Patsy Gomez.
AJ attended Morenci schools graduating in 1993. He grew up playing soccer, little league baseball and high school sports, excelling in all. He was a sports fanatic, knew every player on every team. He loved the Dallas Cowboys, NY Yankees and UofA Wildcats. He also loved to hunt and be in the outdoors.
He was a proud member of U.A. Local 469 in Phoenix, AZ. He loved his profession in the pipe trades and his JB Henderson "work family". AJ began his career as a quiet yet determined plumbing apprentice. Through his hard work and dedication he became a devoted and dependable General Foreman, earning the love and respect of his fellow union brothers. He was also a handyman, receiving satisfaction in helping others through the skills and knowledge he possessed.
On July 2, 2020 AJ married Lisa Crapsi from Buffalo, NY.
Our beloved AJ is survived by his parents David and Patsy, brother Samuel, sister Desirae, and his wife Lisa. Also surviving AJ are his sons Damon and Nathyn, his granddaughter Arayah and his nieces Alyssa, Avery, Alana and Aviana all of whom he loved dearly. His Nana Margarita Campos and his in-laws Frank Crapsi, JoAnne Dettelis and Keith Fioretti also survive him, as well as many relatives and friends.
He was greeted in Heaven by his grandparents Gonzalo and Tommie Gomez and Candelario Campos.
Our son, brother, father, husband, grandpa and uncle, was a quiet, kind soul. We will never forget your smile, your laughter and your humor and the love you had for all of us. You will live on in our hearts through the memories you have given us. It gives us some comfort to know that he was in a good place in his life.
AJ you will be greatly missed but never forgotten. We will carry you in our hearts always. We will see you once again, until then may you rest in peace.
Services will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2021, beginning with a visitation for close friends at 9:00 a.m. followed by the Rosary at 10:00 a.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Morenci. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
