Agnes Kirsch, 80, Pima, AZ, passed away March, 23, 2010 at St Marys Hospital in Tucson, AZ. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, March 25, at Real Life Community Church in Safford. Agnes was born August 10, 1929 on a farm near Heil, ND to Jacob and Christina Zimmerle. She attended rural Grant County schools and Elgin Public Schools. In 1947 she received her license as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She married Elmer Kirsch, March 20, 1949 in New Leipzig, ND. They farmed near Mott, ND until 1990. During this time she also worked as a nurse in Elgin and Mott for 21 years. They were charter members of the Evangelical Free Church in Mott, ND. Her interests in life included gardening, quilting, sewing, baking and travel. Elmer and Agnes had three children, Sandra (Dale) Roemmich of Pipestone, MN, Pat (Ross) Gurnsey of Bassett, NE, and Michael (Kathleen) Kirsch of York, NE. Following their retirement from farming and nursing, Elmer and Agnes spent 10 years serving as volunteers in county, state and national parks. They moved to Pima, AZ in 1998. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Elmer, 3 children and their spouses, 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Esther Zimmerle of Klamath Falls, OR. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and one brother.
