Alice King

Alice King My Sweetheart Alice Jensen Thomsen King returned peacefully to her Heavenly Fathers arms April 21, 2010. She was born January 17, 1938 in Aarhus, Denmark and came to America with her family at age 11. She quickly adapted and made many friends. She met her sweetheart, Cecil Glenn King Jr, and they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple May 29, 1958. They served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Nauvoo, Illinois for the Family History Department. She loved doing family history and has done so much for her family and friends. She was always there when you needed a friend or a shoulder to lean on. Alice is survived by her sweetheart of 51 years; 7 children and their spouses; 17 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; a sister and a brother. Preceded in death by her parents and a brother. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends who loved her dearly. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 1:00 p.m. at the Bennion Ward, 5980 South 1300 West. Viewings will be held Friday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Saturday at the church, 11:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
