Alta Carrington

Alta Carrington 1925 ~ 2008 Alta Barton Carrington, 82, died August 3, 2008 in Layton, Utah. Born October 30, 1925 to Joseph Owen and Vivian Lee Barton. Married Keith W. Carrington June 10, 1944 in Stockton, Utah. Retired from Hill Air Force Base after 25 years of service. She is survived by children: Kathleen Lamb, JoAnne Carrington, Keith W. Bud (Marilyn) Carrington, Jerald (Kay) Carrington; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents; husband; siblings; son-in-law, Dean Lamb; and a grandson. A graveside service will be held Thursday, 11:00 a.m. at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South. A viewing will be held Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
