Alvin Russell Privett Al Alvin Russell Privett passed away at home September 15, 2007. He was born November 16, 1926 to William Sylvester and Lucy May Crump Privett. He married Lela Mary Denney June 16, 1947; sealed in the Salt Lake Temple February 26, 1948. He served as Bishop, High Councilor, Elders Quorum President, High Priest Group Leader and Home Teacher in the LDS Church. He was a veteran of the US Army during WWII and served in the 25th Division in the Philippines and during the occupation in Japan. He enjoyed making necklaces, bolo ties and other crafts and gave them to his family and friends. He had a great sense of humor and brought a smile to everyones face. He leaves behind his wife; five children: Roger (Donna) Privett, Casey (Jackie) Privett, Colleen (Bob) Holm, Randy (Ruby) Privett and Jackie Privett; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Linda; son, Preston; 2 grandsons; 2 sisters; and a brother. The family would like to thank Dr. Miller and the staff from Hospice for the care and support they gave Al and Lela. Funeral services will be held Friday, 11:00 a.m. at the Kearns 6th Ward, 4260 West 5215 South. A viewing will be held Thursday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Friday at the church, 10-10:45 am prior to services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
