Andrew Jaramillo

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Andrew Marcus Jaramillo, who left us unexpectedly on October 5, 2024, in his beloved hometown of Safford, Arizona. Born on January 20, 2007, Andrew radiated a quiet strength and a gentle spirit that touched all who crossed his path. He was a light to those who knew him and will be missed.

Andrew attended Safford High School, where he embraced his studies with diligence and curiosity. He was known for his love of reading, enjoying the way stories could transport him to different worlds. His passion for music found an outlet in his talent for playing the guitar, captivating listeners with his soulful melodies. Whether he was working out or engaging in the arts, Andrew approached everything he loved with a sense of purpose and joy.

He was fondly cherished by his family, who provided him with love and support throughout his life. Andrew is survived by his mother, Jessica Villalba; father, Manuel Jaramillo III; step-mother, Marissa Carrasco; sisters, Alexis Morales and Mia Jaramillo; and brother, Adryon Castillo. He shared his home with four loyal dogs—Sarge, Rouge, Gunny, and Chica—who undoubtedly provided him with endless moments of joy and companionship.

Although Andrew’s time with us was far too short, his memory will forever remain in our hearts. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Manuel Jaramillo II, uncle Justus Villalba, and cousins Raphael Larson and Leila Urrea. These family members now welcome him with open arms as he journeys on.

A set of services to celebrate Andrew’s life will be held on October 14, 2024, at St Rose of Lima Parish in Safford, Arizona. The proceedings will begin with a Rosary at 10:00 AM, and a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Andrew will then be laid to rest during a burial service starting at 12:30 PM in the Safford Cemetery.

As we remember Andrew, let us carry forward his legacy of kindness and quiet strength. May we find comfort in sharing our memories, celebrating his life, and fostering the same love that he shared with all of us during his time on this earth.
