Angelita Marquez

Angelita M. Marquez, 78 of Safford passed away March 29, 2011 in Fountain Hills, Arizona. She was born April 20, 1932 in Morenci to Antonio & Eulalia Moreno. Lita enjoyed traveling, doing arts & crafts, hunting & fishing and spending time with her family. She was a long time volunteer and the Safford Nursing Home and at the St. Rose of Lima Church. Lita married Ramon Marquez in February 1948 in Morenci and they were blessed with a son Ramon Jr., and daughter Elizabeth Ann. Lita is survived by her children, 5 grandchildren, siblings Richard, Tony, Tomas, Alicia, Cindy and Ines. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Edward Lucero on Monday, April 4, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the St. Rose of Lima Church. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening at 6 p.m. at the Church followed by recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m. Interment will be in the Safford Cemetery.
