Arlen Lynn Williams Our Hero Today we honor the life of our hero, our beloved father and grandfather, Arlen Lynn Williams, who passed away at the age of 78 on Sunday, December 6, 2009 from complications due to heart surgery. He was born October 8, 1931 in Fremont, Utah to Orawell Everett and Vonda Albrecht Williams, the oldest of four children. Dad was a kind, loving, gentle, peaceful, sincere and a Christ-like man. He loved to tinker in his workshop and always shared the fruits of his labor. He also loved going back to his home in Teasdale, Utah to go hunting and hiking with his children and grandchildren. He always worked hard to care for his family who were his pride and joy. He worked for Packaging Corporation of America for 30+ years where he met and fell in love with his eternal sweetheart, Susan Betty Wersing. They were married July 16, 1953 and later solemnized their unity December 13, 1974. He then worked for Timbercraft the last 23 years of his life. He was an active member of the LDS Church where he served in many callings and performed service for many people. He is survived by his wife, Susan Williams; children: Miriam (Owen) Tucker, Sandy; Bruce (Michelle) Williams, Arvada, CO; Randy (Anita) Williams, West Jordan; Pamela (Doug) Green, Farmington; 13 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Everett Williams. He was faithful and dedicated in the loving care of his wife, Susan, who is suffering from Alzheimers through to his last days.
