Eldon Norton

Arnold "Eldon" Norton entered into eternal rest while residing at an assisted living facility in Safford, AZ. Eldon was born on April 5, 1951, the first-born child of Arnold “J” Norton & Wanda Lee Jones  Norton.

He is survived by his brothers and sister: Eddie (Lisa Robinson) of Pima, Randy (Kris Howard) of Thatcher, Jon of Tucson, Nancy (Kevin Dandoy) of Gilbert, and Davy (Brenda Talley) of Pima.

After high school graduation, he attended Eastern Arizona Junior College and then transferred to Brigham Young University where he majored in Computer Science. Upon completion of his schooling, he returned to Arizona where he worked at the Great Western Savings Loan Corporation for a few years, then he was hired by Arizona State University where he worked until his retirement.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved serving in several different callings with Ward Clerk and Stake Clerk being his favorite.

A viewing will be held at McDougal's Caldwell Funeral Chapel (112 E, Main Street, Safford, AZ) on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. His funeral will follow at 10:00 a.m. at the same location. A funeral procession to the Pima Cemetery will follow for the dedication of the grave.
