Arthur Carl Hope 1918 ~ 2009 Arthur Carl Hope, age 90, passed away on April 20, 2009 in Spanish Fork, Utah. Born October 4, 1918 in Rexburg, Idaho, to James Eli and Emily Withers Hope. Married Golda Fay Price on July 23, 1940 in Idaho Falls. Lived in San Diego, CA; Salem, ID; Las Cruces, NM; McCammon, ID and Utah. He farmed in Salem, ID and later worked at White Sands Missile Range for many years. Active Member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Served a mission to the Northwestern States Mission and served with his wife in Guatemala. He was also active in church and community charities. He authored the book, Hudspeth Cut Off. He was a skilled woodcarving artist. He loved his dogs. He is survived by his wife, Golda; children: Vanita (Brent) Bean, Las Cruces, NM; Dennis (Sharon), Riverton, UT; Brent (Janice) Elma, WA; Marlene & (Le) Jackson, Spanish Fork, UT; daughter-in-law, LaVerde Hope, American Fork, UT; beloved by his 27 grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren; brother, Ross (Jean) Hope, Rexburg, ID. Preceded in death by his oldest son, Rene and wife, Caldonna. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 25, 2009, 11:00 a.m. at the Copperview Stake Center, 12154 South 3600 West. A viewing will be Saturday from 9:30 -10:45 a.m. at the Church. Graveside services will be Monday at 2:00 p.m. at the Rexburg City Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home.
