Attos Groves

Attos Leon Groves Jr. Grandpa Attos Leon Groves Jr., loving and caring father and grandfather, passed away March 10, 2008 in West Jordan, Utah. Born November 30, 1920 in Breckenridge, Texas, son of Attos Leon Sr. and Celeste Ridley Groves. Married Mary Lou Jones September 4, 1939 in Breckenridge, Texas; she preceded him in death. He was an active member of the LDS Church and retired from Bendix Corp. He shared his love with all who knew him. He was known to all as a true Southern Gentleman. Survived by daughters: Mary Lynn Gurley, Rome, NY; Monica (Gary) White, West Jordan; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Sylvia Hazle, Austin, TX; stepmother, Anita Groves, Austin, TX. Also preceded in death by parents and brother, Billy Joe. Attos will be greatly missed and honored. We await the day we will be together again. Graveside services will be held Friday, March 14, 12:00 noon at the Sunset Hills Memorial Park and Cemetery, Apple Valley, CA. Arrangements under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home.
