Beata Glende

Beata Margaret Baird Glende Gone Cruisin If you are reading this obituary then you know I went cruising August 22, 2010 due to cancer. I was born April 13, 1931 at 440 South 9th East, Salt Lake City, Utah, daughter of Annie Beata Simons and Wallace Marvin Baird. I graduated from West High School in 1948 and Comptometer School in 1949. I worked several places, including Sears, where I retired in 1998 with over 34 years of service in auditing and accounting. I married Donald Albert Glende June 17, 1950 and we had six beautiful children. Donald died October 10, 1992. I married Alfred Mayson Glende January 9, 1999 and we traveled and enjoyed a wonderful life for 10 years; he died March 16, 2005. I loved being with my family, traveling, reading, gardening and eating breakfast and lunch with my friends. I am survived by my children: Sydney (Alan) Zohner; Joel (Shauna) Glende; Marla (Randy) Zorko; Laurie Peterson; Kevin (Joy) Glende; Julie (Shannon) Pitcher; 2 stepchildren; 17 grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; sister, Quata (Marvin) Mears, Cleo (Del) Pace; brother, Harold (Gwen) Dahl. I am preceded in death by my brother, Aden Carver, and my granddaughter, Kellie. I would like to thank all of the people, including CareSource Hospice, who cared for and helped me during my illness. Per my request private family services were held under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home. See ya!
