Beatrice McReynolds

Beatrice Ann Clark McReynolds, 91, of Safford, entered into rest on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 in Tampa, FL. Beatrice was born January 13, 1923 in Oklahoma City and relocated with her family to Arizona as an infant where her father found work at the Phelps Dodge mine in Jerome. Bea graduated from Jerome High School and Greggs Business school. In 1942, after graduation from business school, she worked for Westinghouse Corporation in Phoenix. She met George McReynolds in Phoenix through a mutual friend and they were married in 1950. Bea established a home in Morenci where she raised her two sons, Mac (George Jr. of Los Angeles) & David (Oklahoma City). Bea was a member of the Morenci Women's Club, helped found the Morenci Hospital Auxiliary and worked with the Safford Hospital Auxiliary. Bea moved to Tampa Florida in 2005 where she enjoyed new friends and new experiences until her passing. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters and one brother, as well as her husband George McReynolds. She is survived by her two sons, her brother Bill Clarke of Buckeye AZ, 6 grandchildren including Ashley Scorse of Thatcher and Ashley's 5 children, Bea's great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m.,on Sunday, October 12, 2014 at the Shepherd of the Valley Presbyterian Church, with Dr. Robbin MacDonald officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the Safford Cemetery.
