Bernt Magnusson

Rolf B. Magnusson 1933 2008 Rolf Magnusson, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great- grandfather, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, June 10, 2008 at Pioneer Valley Hospital in West Valley City, Utah. He was born July 15, 1933 in Goteborg, Sweden, son of Arne and Elsa Jonsson Magnusson. He immigrated to the United States in 1955 where he met his sweetheart, Mary Louise Briggs. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on August 29, 1958. After working for 35 years in the Family History Library as a Reference Consultant, he retired in April of 1997. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served faithfully in many callings including Bishop and on the High Council. He served four missions to Sweden, two of which he served with his wife in the Stockholm Temple. He enjoyed traveling, working in his yard and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Mary; their four children: Kristina (Harvey) Brown, Warren (Teresa), Mark (Tresa), Karen (Stephen) Jensen; 17 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, brother, sister, daughter Linda, and granddaughter Rachel. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 14, 2008, 11:00 a.m. at the West Valley Utah Stake Center, 3963 S. Peachwood Dr. (3480 W.) Friends and family may pay respects Friday, June 13, 2008, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Rd. and Saturday at the church, 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Interment, Ephraim Park Cemetery, Ephraim, Utah.
