Betsy Willden

Betsy Ann East Willden 4/8/31 ~ 8/29/08 Betsy passed away Friday, August 29, surrounded by her family. She was born in Oak City, UT, daughter of Clarence and Leona East. Married to Lenard Willden in the Manti Temple on September 16, 1949. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother. Betsy was involved in many church callings and especially loved teaching in the Young Womens program and as Sports Director. She gave many years of service to Kearns High School as a lunch lady. She was a strong supporter of Special Olympics and loved all of Gods special children. Survived by husband, Lenard; daughter, Jerelyn; sons, Neil and Kenny (Mary Kaye); grandchildren, Danielle, Wendy, Stephanie, Matthew, Joshua, Derek and Daysia; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Afton Nielsen, Arlene Nielsen, ElDula Rawlinson and Joleen Revelli. Preceded in death by her son, Kendall and parents. Betsy will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Special thanks to the compassionate care from Willow Cove Health Care and St. Marks Hospital. Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 3, 2008, 12:00 noon at Jordan North 6th Ward, 3836 West 4100 South. A viewing will be held Tuesday, from 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and on Wednesday from 11-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
