Betty Jean Bowser was born December 7, 1944 in Safford, AZ. Betty was born to the late Roosevelt Scroggins and Molly Mae Johnson. Betty Jean was the youngest child of Mollie Mitchell and grew up in Safford, AZ throughout her childhood and young adult years.
Betty Jean married John Bowser Jr. in Safford and through their union had two children, Sharon Bowser and Duane Bowser. Several years later, Betty met Robert Banks and was blessed with four daughters Sabrina Bowser, Veronica Bowser, Jackie Bowser, and Darkenya Bowser.
Betty Jean was a very strong woman that always did her best to strengthen the bond of her family through regular home cooked meals and family gatherings. One of her greatest passions with loved ones would be soulful music, a game of spades, and watching karate movies at the drive-in theater. Betty had a special vision on the true definition of family and how to bring a family together. Her legacy still lives on today through her children.
Betty Jean was blessed to have a very large family. Her sisters include Rosie Lee Scroggins, Betty Sue Johnson, Bernice Bagley, Ruth Ann Branch (Henry), Ira Mae Colbert, Ester Barney (Jerry), Lenora Greer (Curtis), and Christine Hillis. Her brothers include Jimmie Lee, Odell Scroggins, and John Scroggins all of Phoenix, AZ. Betty Jean Bowser is preceded in death by Christine Johnson, Dorothy Louise Fowler, RB Scroggins, Raymond Scroggins, CL Scroggins, Verdell Scroggins, and Howard Hayden.
As a strong and loving mother and grandmother Betty has many loved ones to cherish her memory; one son, Duane Bowser, and five daughters, Sharon Bowser, Sabrina Bowser, Veronica (Bowser) Pate, Jackie Bowser, and Darkenya Bowser. She has one daughter-in-law, Semira Bowser, and one son-in-law, Frank Pate. Betty is also survived by her sisters, and Betty leaves to her legacy three generations including a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous family and friends.
