Betty Kelley

Betty Jo Kelley was born in Paris Texas on July 08, 1926 to Chancey and Pearl Adams. She spent her adolescent years growing up in Texas, until she moved to Arizona when she was 16 years old. During her entire life Betty Jo loved fishing, camping, and taking care of her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a faithful Pentecostal Christian and loved serving Jesus. Her hobbies included: baking, cooking, fishing, camping, and spending time with family. Betty Jo was an amazing wife, loving mother, the most incredible grandmother, an amazing great-grandmother, and what you would call a true friend. Surrounded by her family, Betty Jo entered into rest on Friday September 24, 2010. Betty Jo is survived by her brother Robert Adams of San Manuel; daughters, JoAnne Gravenstien of Safford, Shirley (Larry) Gash of Morenci, Brenda Rhodes of Safford; son, Larry Kelley of Safford; 13 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren, and 19 great-great-grandchildren. Betty Jo was preceded in death by her father, Chancey Adams; mother, Pearl Adams; husband, Joe Milton Kelley; sisters, Hazel Phelps, Nora Adams, Bonnie-Dean Ross, Nettie Adams, and 5 other siblings. She will be greatly missed and loved forever. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 27, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Duncan. Viewing will be one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the Duncan Cemetery.
