Billie Gustus Baldridge, 81, of Duncan, Arizona passed away at home surrounded by his family on November 11, 2009. Billie was born to Ed Baldridge and Alma Seay on January 9, 1928 in Bearden, Oklahoma. Billie served his country in the United States Army during World War II where he received the Victory Medal and the Army of Occupational Medal. Billie after the war married the love of his life Pauline Marie on April 13, 1958 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He worked in the construction business supporting his family and was involved in the Teamster Local 83 and Boy Scouts. He loved to help other people, go camping, fishing, hunting, feed the quails and birds, gardening and driving around town. Billie retired from the teamsters in 1988, celebrated his 50th wedding anniversary in 2008 and also proud that he completed a construction job at 78 years old. He is survived by his wife Pauline, children Gary Baldrgidge, Katherine (Sue) Marie Stacey, Michael Lee Baldridge, Patsy Ann Dixon, and Billie Ed Baldridge, his brother Roy Lee Baldridge, 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Eddie Baldridge, Florence Baldridge, Paul Baldridge, Orin Baldridge, his daughter Kathy Baldridge. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Duncan with a viewing one hour prior also at the church. Interment will follow at the Duncan Cemetery.
