Bill James Lancaster, Sr., 72 of Pima passed away December 10, 2010 at the Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center in Safford. He was born August 5, 1938 in Rincon, New Mexico to Virgil Lee & Vercie Maude Lancaster. Bill served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict as a mechanic and later chose that as his lifes profession. He enjoyed model trains and buying & selling guns. Bill was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends. Bill is survived by his wife LaVera Lancaster, daughter Lisa (Terry) Suter, daughter Teresa (Morgan) Edwards, son Bill Jr. (Kellie) Lancaster, 5 grandchildren, siblings Oscar, Roy, Betty Forsberg, Pauline (Wayne) Simon, uncle Frank Arms and many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Services will be conducted 10 a.m., Thursday, December 16, 2010 at the First Southern Baptist Church of Thatcher, 2934 W. 8th St.. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Caldwell Funeral Chapel.
