Blaine Andrus

Blaine Leavitt Andrus 1953 ~ 2008 Our dearest husband, father and grandfather was called back to heaven December 30, 2008 at the age of 55. He was born February 8, 1953 in St. George, Utah to James and Eula Leavitt Andrus. As a boy he enjoyed hunting, riding, fishing and serving others with his family. Blaine has lived up to the Andrus family ideal of kindness and generosity in every way. On March 13, 1976 Blaine was sealed to his love, Lynette Ann Rigby, for time and all eternity in the St. George Temple. They were married for 32 years. As they shared lifes experiences together, they welcomed five children and ten grandchildren into their circle of love. Blaine was a dedicated scouter serving in Young Mens most of his life, earning the Silver Beaver Award. One of Blaines greatest pleasures was gathering his family and they will miss him dearly. He is survived by his wife, Lynette; children: Clinton (Amberlee), Janelle (Ben), Brant (Mindy), Katrina and Burke; and 10 grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 3, 2009, 12:30 p.m. at the Stake Center, 5000 S. 1950 W., Taylorsville. Viewings will be held Friday, January 2, 2009, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Saturday at the church, 11-12:15 p.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South.
