Angel Robert "Bob" Arrietta, 81, of Thatcher, passed away on December 12, 2011 in Tucson Medical Center. He was born March 17, 1930 in Morenci, to Julio Arrietta, and Mary Robiola. Bob joined the U.S. Airforce after High School. He learned his trade as a aircraft mechanic. After he returned from serving his country, he married Carolina Sanchez,on September 10, 1955 in Lordsburg, NM. they have been married over 56 years. He went to work for Lockheed in California as an aircrfat mechanic. He returned to the Gila Valley where he owned and operated A&B Texaco with his brother Albert. He then worked for Frank's Exxon for Frank Kladja until he retired in 1992. Bob loved his family more than anything, he loved to hunt, camp, fourwheel, and travel. Most of all, he loved to sit on his porch and watch his neighbors, who are his sons. He is survived by his wife Carolina of Thatcher; daughter, Rosanna Arrietta of Pima; sons, Larry (Caroline) Arriettta, and Dale Robert Arrietta all of Thatcher; a brother, Albert (Debbi) Uribe of Tucson; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Alice. Mass of a Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, with Rev. Father Edward Lucero as Celebrant. Friends may call on Tuesday December 20, from 6-8 p.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Interment will be in the Thatcher Cemetery.
