Brenda Steele Udall, 68, died of pancreatic cancer June 21, 2019, at her home in Mesa, Arizona. She was born in McNary, Arizona, to Ernest and Nina Gardner Steele. Brenda has been married to her sweetheart David R. Udall for the past 52 years, and looks forward to being together with him for all eternity. They were blessed with 5 children, 26 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Brenda was active in the community. She served as a scout leader, Birthright president, and elementary school teacher. As a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she fulfilled many callings and served a humanitarian mission with her husband on the Navajo and Hopi reservations.
Before she passed, she wanted everyone to know, "My greatest joy in life has been my family."
She is survived by her husband David, daughters Sandra Udall and Karen (Jared) Wilhelm, sons David (Kristie), Kenneth (Valerie) and Douglas (Wendi), brothers Arthur Steele (Jyme Sue) and Guy Steele (Anne), and sisters Linda Steele and Marjory (Darren) Skousen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Nina Steele and her granddaughter Stephanie Udall.
Services will be on June 29, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. with a viewing from 9:00-9:45 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Adobe Villa Chapel, 5620 E Adobe Rd, Mesa, AZ. Concluding services will be at 4:00 p.m. that afternoon at the Thatcher Cemetery in Thatcher, Arizona.
