Bud L. Ricketts Back to Work Eternal companion, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Born May 10, 1929 in Antimony, Utah to M.E. and Nelda Day Ricketts, he passed away peacefully at home May 12, 2008. He graduated from Piute High School in 1947 and then attended BAC (SUU). Served in the US Army during The Korean Conflict and also an LDS mission to the North Central States. Attended BYU and U of U. Married Enid Kyle July 15, 1955 in the Manti Temple. Served faithfully in the LDS Church in four bishoprics and enjoyed numerous other callings. Survived by wife, Enid; four children: David (Lisa) Ricketts, Michelle (Terry) Mackay, Kyle (Michelle) Ricketts, Chet (Shane) Ricketts; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings: Beth Knell, Max Ricketts, Janet Anderson, Ardell Ricketts and Gloria Porter. Preceded in death by parents; mother-in-law and grandson. The family would like to express a special thanks to our wonderful and caring nurse Sherry and Utah Hospice Specialist. Funeral services will be held Friday, 11:00 a.m. at the Taylorsville Gardens 2nd Ward, 4252 South Bennion Road (1905 West). A viewing will be held Thursday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Friday at the church, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
