Burke Parriott

Burke A. Parriott Gone Flying Burke Arthur Parriott, 83, passed away March 22, 2008. Born April 30, 1924 in Moab, Utah to Dale Martin and Ruth Cartwright Parriott. Graduated from Grand County High School in 1942. Joined the US Army Air Corp May, 1943 and graduated from flight school June, 1944 as a pilot. Served as a flight instructor until discharged in 1946. He retired from Chevron Corporation after 31 years of service. He married Holly Jean Day November, 1949 and together, with his much loved wife, raised four children. He is survived by his wife, Holly; children: Leslie (Scott) Thompson, Gayle Ann (Larry) Friedkin, Gary Parriott; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by son, Martin Parriott; parents; brother, Lloyd. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, March 25th, 2:00 p.m. at the Fillmore City Cemetery, 600 South 400 East Fillmore, Utah. Arrangements under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home, Salt Lake City, Utah.
