Camilo Arrellin Rodriguez Sr., 97, of Safford, entered rest on Monday, February 5, 2018, in Tucson. He was born on May 13, 1920, in Lake Valley, NM, to Antonio H. Rodriguez, and Margarita S. Arrellin Rodriguez.
He was born in New Mexico and moved to Arizona at a young age. He attended school in Solomon. He married Alice Sanchez. He worked construction in the mine for about ten years. He was a painter by trade and the went to work at Eastern Arizona College as a painter and retired there. He loved to polish copper. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his sons, Johnny S. Rodriguez, Sr. (Judy) of Tucson, and William Rodriguez of Tucson; a brother, Pedro "Pete" Rodriguez of Tucson; 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Alice, sons, Joe Rodriguez, Tony Rodriguez, Camilo Rodriguez, Jr.; siblings, Josie Munoz, Julia Dominguez, Ramona Torrio, Mary Montez, and Manuel Rodriguez.
Mass of a Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, February 12, 2018, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Safford, with Rev. Father Robert Rodriguez as Celebrant.
Interment will be in the Safford Cemetery
