Carl K. Camden 1928-2009 Carl Kenneth Camden, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away April 24, 2009, due to a prolonged illness, with his family by his side ~ it was very peaceful. He was born January 21, 1928, son of Radious and Elsie Wilkins Camden. He married Mary Mackay Oct 2, 1950; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. The things Carl loved most were spending time with his family, camping, fishing, latch hooking, word searches, puzzles and sitting on the patio listening to his waterfall. He was a skilled truck driver and was issued a Million Mile Award by Mack Truck Co. He was very proud to be given such an award. He is survived by his wife, Mary; 3 beautiful daughters, Carla (Les), Denise, Leann (Rick), 5 grandchildren: Chase, Chenney, Colton, James and Kenneth; sister, Minnie (Al Buzz); brother, Larry (Donna) Camden, all from Quincy, IL. He is preceded in death by his parents and 5 brothers. The family would like to express a special heart felt appreciation to Dini and the friends in the support group, and for the loving care given by the many caregivers at Silverado Care Center and Hospice. The last years of my life were a struggle, but I have been restored and living with the Lord. I am watching over all of you and cant wait till the day we are reunited. Love always, Dad. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 9, 2009, 11:00 am at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 So. Redwood Road where a viewing will be held, Friday, 6-8 pm and Saturday, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
