Carla Squire

Carla Fay Squire, 68, of Ft. Thomas, passed away May 21, 2015 in Tucson, AZ. Carla was born November 4, 1946 to Gerald Peterson and Flossie Lewis Brewer in Pinedale, AZ. Carla attended grade school in Pinedale and graduated from high school in Colorado. She met and married Ben Kiser. Carla & Ben were married for 19 years and were blessed with the birth of their son, Mike Kiser. Carla was a hard worker and had many jobs during her life. She was a waitress; she also worked in the pulp mill in Snowflake, AZ and retired from the Postal Service as a letter carrier after 29 years of service. Carla later met and married Ronald P. Squire and they made their home in Ft. Thomas on the Squire Ranch where she loved the rural lifestyle. She loved her chickens and was an accomplished cheese maker and embraced the holistic lifestyle due to all of the health benefits. In her spare time she loved quilting and became a quilter fanatic. When material was on sale, she was there and her quilts were beautiful. Carla was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and one of her great joys was to work in the Gila Valley Temple. Carla is survived by her husband, Ronald P. Squire, her son Mike Kiser, two grandsons; Brandon and Jacob Kiser, four great grandchildren, siblings; Gerald Lewis Brewer, Marilyn Marie Brewer, Anna Lou Hempleman, Wayne Douglan Brewer, Neil Erwin Brewer, Josephine Jose, Marshall D. Brewer, Iona Jackson and Anona Perkins. She was preceded in death by her parents Gerald P. and Flossie L. Brewer, and brothers; Hubert Brewer, Billy Leonard Brewer, Everett Gaylord Brewer and infant twins, Edith and Eddie Brewer. Services for Carla will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at the Ft. Thomas LDS Chapel with the viewing at 10:00 a.m. and the service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Reed Hatch Memorial Cemetery in Taylor, AZ on Monday June 1, 2015 at 1:00 p.m.
