Carline Yvonne Marsh, 79, of Safford, AZ passed away on November 12, 2018 in her home surrounded by her family. Carline was born on January 11, 1939 in Thatcher, AZ to Carl and Ruth Cox.
Her family moved to Morenci when she was very young. When Carline was only 14, she fell in love with John Marsh and they were married a year later. Even though they were very young when they married, they enjoyed 54 years together before John's death in 2008. Soon after they married, they moved to Willits CA for a year, but returned to Morenci where they lived until 1997. They later moved to the York Valley into the family home that she helped build along with John and his brother Wayne Marsh. After John's death in 2008 she later moved to Safford, AZ to be closer to her family until her death.
Carline and John were very involved in bowling and loved to go camping up around Alpine and Riggs Lake areas. The family enjoyed time spent fishing and playing cards. Their love for the mountains lead them to purchase some land in Colorado Springs where they planned to retire. As the family grew larger and the Grand kids started arriving, they changed their minds, sold their land and stayed in Arizona.
Carline went to work for the Chamber of Commerce in Clifton in 1980. After a few years a position came open in the Job Training Partnership Act (JTPA) where she worked for 14 years and retired as the Executive Director. Once John retired, they started to take vacations to see the different states. After her retirement they accomplished seeing all 50 states with a two-week trip to Alaska.
Carline was now able to enjoy the things she loved to do and started making handmade crafts part time and selling them in the community. She had booths at the different bazaars in Morenci and Safford and her family enjoyed working and selling their crafts along with hers. Several people own wreaths, centerpieces and hand craved wooden reindeers she made. Once she moved to Safford, she got more involved with scrap booking and joined a group of friends for weekly games of dominos.
Carline loved her family very much. Having the Grand kids and Great Grandkids around her helped get her through some very rough times.
She is survived by her two Daughters Patricia (Steve) Ray, Tucson, AZ, Donna (Gene) Coca of Safford, AZ, and a Son Douglas (Michelle) Marsh of Mesa, AZ, two Granddaughters, Michelle Coca of Safford, AZ and Christina Radzikowski of Tucson, AZ, two Grandsons Tim (Mandy) Ray of Tucson, AZ and Daniel Coca of Santa Barbara, CA, four Great Granddaughters Mykala (Gabe) Romero and Maryah Coca of Safford, Brianne Ray of Tucson, AZ, and Izabella Radzikowski of Denver, CO, five Great Grandsons, Kevin Ray, Michael Ray, and Ethan Radzikowski from Tucson, AZ and Trysten Lopez and Kayson Coca of Safford, AZ, a Great-Great Granddaughter Luciana who is due to arrive in two weeks.
