Carmen Buffo

Carmen Buffo, 89, was born March 23, 1921 in Morenci and went to the Lord on October 22, 2010. Carmen was a dedicated wife, mother and sister. She loved her family both near and far and always loved to serve them. Preceding Carmen in death was her husband, Albert and daughter Deanna Bush and her son Christopher Bush. Carmen is survived by her son Alan ; daughter Jennie Turner; two sisters Beatrice Bonilla and Soledad Meyer; grandchildren, Jeremy Turner; Jennifer Eastman, Erica Samuel and two great grandchildren and nephews and nieces. After graduating from Morenci High School, Carmen married Albert Buffo, and joined him operating Buffo's Jewelry in the old Morenci shopping center. After Albert died in 1974 she continued the business until 1996 when she finally retired at the age of 75. She enjoyed working with the public, making many friends over the years, and was always cheerful in all her business dealing. A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday October 28th, at 6 pm., and rosary will be recited at 7 pm. at Caldwell Funeral Chapel in Safford. A funeral mass will be held Friday, October 29th at 2 pm. at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Morenci with interment at Bunker Cemetery.
