Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend Carol Chavarria passed away on January 18th 2023 in Tucson Arizona at the age of 76. She joins her dear husband, Arthur Chavarria (1932-2014) in eternal rest. Carol and Art were married for a wonderful 30 years. While Art worked at the police station Carol was fortunate enough to run her own successful electrolysis business for more than 30 years after graduating from the Arizona Institute of Electrolysis in 1982. The inseparable pair were also in the horse racing business for several years starting with their first purchase of their mare “Don’t Be Cute”. They ran track from Arizona all the way through Texas, setting memorable records in Duncan and Douglas. They also loved to provide for and host their friends and family at their lovely home in Thatcher Arizona where they were no strangers to putting in a good hard days’ work. Some of Carol’s favorite memories were of building their home together by hand, taking care of their animals, Arthur poking fun at her driving, and just living their life together. She had many dear friends, was a well-loved member of her community, and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Carol is survived by her two sons Rick and Ron.
