Carol Ann Sweat Miracle Lady Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend, Carol Ann West Sweat, passed away peacefully at home May 27, 2008 following a courageous battle with Leukemia. Born November 18, 1947 in Salt Lake City, Utah, daughter of Jean Marrott and Shirley Krantz West. After high school at Olympus High, she attended BYU where she graduated in 1969 with a Degree in Elementary Education. On December 18, 1969, she married Dale B. Sweat in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Carol taught for over 30 years including 27 years at Oquirrh Elementary School and finished her career at Carl Sandberg. She loved teaching children and was a wonderful example in many lives. She and her husband loved people with disabilities and spent a lot of time serving them together. Carol is survived by her husband, Dale; children: Melanie (Roger) Crouse, Carrie Sweat, Mindy (Eric) Stacy, Melissa (Shaun) Clark; grandchildren: Kayla, Jessica, Daniel, Ashley, Elizabeth, Jacob, Joshua, Darren, Emily and Sierra; her parents; siblings, Shauna Winegar and David (Donna) West. She is preceded in death by her grandchildren, Kaylynn and Benjamin; brother-in-law, Rex Winegar. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 12 noon, at the Mountain View Stake Center, 2901 West 9000 South. A viewing will be held Friday, 5 - 8 pm at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and Saturday at the church, 11 - 11:45 am. Interment, West Jordan City Cemetery.
