Carolina Romero

Carolina P. Romero, 89 of Safford passed away November 24, 2010. She was born in Deming, New Mexico, January 05, 1921. She married Filiberto Romero and they moved to Morenci, AZ. She was a Homemaker and worked as the Housekeeper for the Holy Cross Catholic Parish. She moved to Safford in 1971 when her husband retired from the Southern Pacific Railroad. She continued as a Homemaker and a caretaker for the elderly residents in the Safford area. She worked for a period of time for Sal's Market in the kitchen. She made her Cursillo in 1977, and participated actively as a member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Parish. She enjoyed walking and visiting with her friends in the neighborhood. She was an avid collector of dolls. She is survived by her Son: Andrew Romero, Daughter in-law Martha Romero. Grandchildren: Anthony (Kabrina), Eric (Ricci), Desiree (Matt), Brianna and Brandon Romero, Great Grandchildren: Araceli DeRidder, Elena Hernandez, Aiden Romero, Addison Hernandez, Jaden Romero and Elora Romero. She was preceded in death by: Mother, Petra Rodriguez, Husband, Filiberto Romero, Son, Carlitos Romero, Sister, Margie Robledo, Brother, Fidel Pacheco, Sister in-law, Veva Pacheco, Nephew/Godson, Fidel "Sonny" Pacheco, Jr. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, December 6 at 11 a.m. with Rosary service at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Rose of Lima Church. Interment will be in the Safford Cemetery.
