Carolyn Copeland

Carolyn Sue Copeland, 68, passed away on August 5, 2009 at her home in Clifton, Arizona. Carolyn Sue was born on October 17, 1940 to Leroy Cross and Adie Lorene McCafferty in Mogollon, New Mexico. She moved to Morenci at 6 months of age and remained there her entire life. She graduated from Morenci High School in 1958. Carolyn married Weldon Copeland on December 23, 1958 and they were blessed with 2 children, Weldon Mack and Cynthia Sue. She was a homemaker and a friend to all. She could always be found smiling, laughing and ready with a joke. A few of her hobbies were spending time with her family, singing, playing the piano, and organ. She was asked on many occasions to sing and play at church and other events. A memorial service will be held in her honor Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at Elks Lodge # 1174 in Clifton, Arizona at 2:00 p.m. Carolyn is survived by her husband, Weldon Copeland, her children, Weldon Mack Copeland, and Cynthia Sue Shrader, grandchildren Savannah and Levy Baltazar, and siblings Barbara Chapman, and Nelda Wagley.
