Carrol L. Jensen Beloved Wife and Mother Carrol Lena Jensen passed away February 20, 2008 in the home of her son, and with her sweetheart and husband of 64 years, at her side. Carrol was born December 12, 1924 in Redmond, Utah to George Ernel and Anna Leah Winkler Jensen. She married John Robert Jensen December 18, 1943 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Their marriage was solemnized February 20, 1945 in the Salt Lake Temple. Carrol was very active in the LDS church. She held many positions and served a mission with her husband in Minneapolis, MN. She loved working in the temple. Carrol was always there to lend a helping hand and was blessed with happiness that serving others brings. She was a wonderful homemaker, her children were so blessed to have her for a mother. Carrol was a wonderful cook and loved to have her children and grandchildren at her home. She was a talented seamstress and made many beautiful clothes for her family. She also made draperies and helped to beautify many homes. She loved to garden and make things grow, she loved to be outside in her gardens. She always enjoyed vacationing in the mountains with her family. She was an example to all who knew her, she had a beautiful spirit. Her family and friends will miss her always. Her family would like to thank her friends and neighbors who brightened her life and visited and supported her, especially in her last days. She is survived by her husband, John Robert Jensen; sons and daughters: Rex L. (Sherrie) Jensen, Terry L. Jensen, Allese L. (Harley) Dalton, Michael L. (Melanie) Jensen, Alaina L. (Keith) Ramsey, Stephen R. (Mary) Jensen; 17 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, LaPreal (Dee) Larsen; brother, Robert (Marilyn) Jensen. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 11:00 a.m. at the Taylorsville South Stake Center, 3495 West 4850 South. A viewing will be held Friday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Saturday at the church, 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Redmond Cemetery, Redmond, UT.
