Charleen Elmer

Charleen Campbell Elmer, 84, of Safford, passed away January 9, 2010. Charleen was born April 8, 1925 in Globe, Arizona to Maudie J. Bowman & Vernon L. Campbell. She lived a long life and accomplished many of her life goals. She loved to travel, play the piano and take mine tours with her beloved husband, Hearold. She outlived her husband, all of her children and some of her great grandchildren. Charleen is survived by her grandchildren, Tonya Garcia, Michael & Indy Rice, Jeffery Walker, Dean Rice and Kristina Baker, and 13 great grandchildren. Charleen is preceded in death by her husband, Hearold, children; Hearold Dean Elmer, Glen Steven Elmer and Susan Jewel Wright, and her parents Vernon & Maudie Campbell. Services will be conducted Saturday, January 16, 2010 at the Church Street Chapel in Thatcher at 10:00 a.m. A viewing will be held Friday, January 15, 2010 at Caldwell Funeral Chapel from 6 - 8 p.m. and also one hour prior to the services at Church Street Chapel. Interment will follow at Thatcher Cemetery.
