Charles Phillip Clevenger Phil A loving husband, father, grandfather, son and brother, Phil, passed away peacefully October 15, 2007, surrounded by his family after a long struggle with his health. Born on March 24, 1943, in Los Angeles, CA. Phil was a long-time mechanic and was meticulous in his work. NASCAR was his passion, but family and his faith were most important. Phil was a gentle man who expected the best from his children, and was always there to support them. His delightful sense of humor endeared him to many. A recent member of the LDS Church, he served enthusiastically and with deep commitment. The family is very grateful to the medical professionals Dr. Imad Farrukh, Dr. Dennis Hamp, and to the nursing staff at Jordan Valley medical Center for their tender, loving care in his last days. Phil is survived by his wife, Roberta; his three children, Phillip (Karma), Tracy Perry, Sally (Kevin) Steffensen; his six grandchildren, Kyle, Aleksandra, Phillip Michael, Charlie, Kayla, Darren; his sister, Sally of Solana Beach, CA. There will be a viewing on Thursday, from 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 19, 2007, 11:00 a.m. at the Western Hills 1st Ward, 5380 West 5400 South, where there will be a special viewing for family one hour prior to services. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road.
