Chessa Dixon Meemaw Our loving mother and friend, Chessa Edna Wade Dixon, 74, passed away September 1, 2009 in West Jordan, Utah with family at her side. Born March 8, 1935 in Pittsburg, Texas, daughter of Chester King and Lillie Katherine Amonette Wade. Married Harold Matthew Dixon May 29, 1952 in Pittsburg, Texas. Chessa graduated from Pittsburg High School, with honors as their Salutatorian, in 1952. Active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in many different leadership roles throughout her life. Survived by her daughter, Angela Renee Dunn, Longview, TX; sons: Harold Matthew Dixon, Jr., South Jordan; Larry Edward Dixon, Delta; 21 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren. To the world, she was a mother. To us, she was the world. We will miss her. A viewing will be held Sunday, September 6, 2009, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood, Taylorsville, UT. A viewing will also be held Saturday, September 12, 2009, 11-11:45 a.m. prior to funeral services, 12:00 noon at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, 5000 West Harrison Road Longview, TX where she will find her resting place with Harold, the love of her life.
