Christy Gallegos 1959 - 2007 Our beloved daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend passed away peacefully at home on July 6, 2007. Christy was a vibrant woman that touched everyones heart with her beautiful smile and spirit. She was giving and generous to all including strangers. Christy would do anything for anybody. She loved music, boating, camping, traveling and cooking. She also enjoyed playing games and watching television game shows. Her passion was children and cooking. She always volunteered and wanted to take not just her own children and grandchildren, but everyones! She was very close to her nieces and nephews, like a second mother. She bragged about her wonderful cooking and would cook huge meals for all to enjoy. She graduated from Salt Lake Community College and worked for the State of Utah for ten years. Christy was intelligent, smart, witty and had the best sense of humor. She comforted all and made good situations out of the bad. She will be greatly missed on earth but is now safe, pain free and in God's loving arms. Christy is survived by her parents Efren A. Gallegos & Judy A. (Paul) Salazar; three children, Cassandra, Max and Blair Kelly; two sisters, Lisa Kelly and Julie (Ernie) Herrera; brother, Mark Goodman; two grandchildren, Dezirae and Max Kelly IV; former husband of 15 years, Max Kelly Jr.; Grandmother, Lola Thiede and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her step father John Trujillo and step mother, Linda Gallegos and her niece, Whitney Kelly. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church on Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. ~ 1375 E. Spring Lane (4700 South), Salt Lake City, Utah.
