Clarice Arnold

Clarice Love Arnold, 89, a native of Safford, died Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at Hospice of Arizona in Peoria, Arizona after a short illness. Clarice was born November 7, 1920 in Safford to J.T. & Lora Owens. On December 23, 1940 she married E.J. Arnold in Galveston, Texas. They returned to Safford and made their home on 6th Avenue living there nearly 60 years. A lifelong Homemaker, her hobbies included gardening, sewing, cooking, painting and many crafts. She loved her home, garden and family. She is survived by two daughters, Darla Melcher of Phoenix, Arizona and Kay Manning of Purvis, Mississippi, 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 10, 2010 at Caldwell Funeral Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. the following day Monday, January 11, 2010 at Safford Union Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Caldwell Funeral Chapel. The family asks that donations be made to a favorite charity or hospice.
