Claudia Paredez

Claudia Acosta Paredez entered into eternal rest at the age of 91 on May 6, 2023 at Peppi's House- TMC Hospice in Tucson, AZ with her niece, Anna Medina, by her side. Claudia (Cally) was born June 9, 1931 in Solomonville, AZ to Natanael Paredez and Valentina Acosta Paredez. Her siblings include brother, Felipe Paredez, sisters, Concha Alvarez, Margaret Maldonado, Claudia Paredez the first, and Helen Gonzales. She attended Solomonville Elementary School. She worked for many years at the Gila Valley Laundry. On April 27, 1955, she gave birth to her one and only son, Michael Holguin. In 1970, Claudia and Michael moved to Tucson where she worked at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base until her retirement in 1990. Claudia enjoyed bowling with her son and friends. She loved her westerns, especially John Wayne movies. She really enjoyed having company over and visiting with family and friends. Claudia was a devoted Christian spending countless hours reading her bible, praying for others, and singing to her Lord. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Holguin, her parents Natanael and Valentina Paredez, brother Felipe Paredez, sisters, Claudia Paredez the first, Helen Gonzales, Margaret Maldonado, and Concha Alvarez. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, her great nephew, Jesus Medina, who took care of her for many years before her passing, and many friends who she cherished dearly, especially Milton Perez, who helped her in many ways. Claudia will be cremated and her ashes will be united with her son's ashes.
