Clayton Armstrong

Clayton Ray Armstrong, 62, of Springerville, entered into rest on Monday, November 13, 2017, with his loving family at his side. He was born on May 11, 1955, in Sutherland, NE, to Clark and Katherine Armstrong. He married Goldy McBride Armstrong on September 28, 1973, in Miami, AZ. Clayton graduated from Globe High School in 1973. He worked as a member of Ironworkers Local 75. He loved to hunt, fish, shooting, reloading, cowboying, and teaching firearm safety. He loved being in the outdoors especially with his boys and grandchildren. He was able to enjoy being with his grandson Clayton when he took his first deer, on November 3, 2017. He is survived by his wife Goldy, of Springerville; sons, Shawn Armstrong (Kerri) of Safford, and Jess Armstrong (Vanessa) of Safford; mother-in-law, Margaret McBride; and 8 grandchildren, Latigo, Clayton, Corby, Riata, Braiden, Cooper, Hannah, and Haydyn. He was preceded in death by his Parents; sons, Vernon and Clay; twin brother Clark Armstrong; and sisters, Carol and Connie. Private family services will be at a later date.
