Clella Mae Ackerman Skeeter Loves Ya Our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Clella Mae Jones Ackerman, left this life with grace and dignity, surrounded in body and spirit by her family who loved and cherished her. Clella was born May 25, 1928, and died April 22, 2010. She was proud to be the daughter of Lenore and Roy Jones. She married the love of her life, Robert Duane Ackerman on July 12, 1950 and they spent the next 59 years devoted to each other and to their family Mom dedicated her life to her family and we will dedicate our lives to her memory. She was a wonderful mother who taught us many things, like Never learn to milk a cow and Dont packa the flour. Our mother was an unconventional woman ahead of her time and she taught us through example to be brave enough to be who we are and to be proud of it. Most of all she taught us to be strong and to love each other. She was her grandchildrens best friend and spent countless hours going to yard sales and watching old movies with them. She shared her creative talents and skills with those she loved and our homes are filled with many of her beautiful creations. She is survived by her husband, Robert, daughters Cherie Anderson (Ted), Cheryl King (Jeff), Joanne (Gayle), son Robert Ackerman (Connie) . Twelve grandchildren: Laura Ackerman, (Natalie), Ted Anderson Jr. (Mica), Rebecca Penman (Chris), Kelly Boren (Josh), Brett Anderson, Russell Anderson (Kristy), Jack Threet, Jacob and Kallie Ackerman, and four great grandchildren: Alexis, Jaden, Haley, and Max. A visitation with family and friends will be held Monday, April 26, 6-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah.
