Clifford Fred Meyer Together Again Clifford Fred Meyer, age 73, passed away on February 5, 2008. Born January 10, 1935 in SLC, UT to Clifford Ralph and Katherine Evely Meyer. Cliff served in the army, where he was aircraft mechanic engineer and received the National Defense Service Metal. After his time served, he went to work for the State of Utah Road Dept. And then worked several years for Hercules. He met and married Maurietta Lynn Orton on August 27, 1958. Under this marriage, three children were born to them: Kristy Ann, Warren Bruce and Pamela Kay. They later divorced in August, 1976. Cliff then met and remarried V. Katherine Jackson. They were married January 14, 1978. The marriage was later solemnized for time and eternity in the St. George Temple on July 2, 1983. Dad and Kathy were best friends and sweethearts for life. They lived in Panguitch, Utah for a while and then decided to move to Murray, where he continued working at Hercules until a medical retirement. They enjoyed doing a lot of things together, including Church positions, Boy Scouts and traveling. A tragic accident took the life of his only son, Warren Bruce, in August 30, 1982. Then later in life, he lost his sweetheart and the love of his life. Kathy passed away October 15, 2001. Cliff loved his family dearly. He enjoyed traveling, Boy Scouting programs and being outdoors, until he was stricken with bad health from aggressive RA later in life. The family wishes to give special thanks to Michael and Ann Dunton and their 3 daughters who were just like family, also who held a very special place in Dads heart. The family wishes to take the time to give a special thanks to the great team of caregivers at Woodland Park Care Center. Special thanks to Rob and Marie and Nurse Kay. Also a heartfelt special thanks to the Ladies of Bristol Hospice Care. The combination of the talent and extremely qualified people and deep compassion, they all made Dads final days more comfortable. We love you all! Survived by children: Kristy Ann (John ) Bailey, Ephraim; Pamela Kay (Steve) Shemenski, SLC; Matthew Meyer; Mike and Ann Dunton; grandchildren: Jamie Lynn, Emily Marie, Derik Glen, Shelesse, Tori Lee, Lisa Ann, Tiffanie Marie, Amy Jean; great-granddaughter: Gracie Katherine Meyer; brothers and sister: Leland Smith, David Smith, Gerald Smith and Linda Smith. Preceded in death by wife, Katherine; son, Warren Bruce Meyer; step-father and mother, Alden B and Kathryn Smith; half brother, Paul Smith. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 9, 2008, 1:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, where friends and family may gather from 11-12:45 p.m. prior to services. Interment, West Jordan City Cemetery
