Clifford Johnson Walton, Jr. 1929 ~ 2010 Cliff, age 81, beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, was called home to the Lord early in the morning of May 3, 2010, after a brief illness. Born January 17, 1929 in Harrisburg, PA, to Clifford J. and Miriam J. Walton. He was the youngest of three sons. Cliff married Jeannette Guimond of Hartford, Conn., in 1955. They are the parents of two children: Miriam (Thompson) of Montesano, WA and Philip of San Diego, CA. Cliff and Jeannette have been active members of Holladay Baptist Church, he being a bible teacher over 45 years. Public education was received in Harrisburg, PA and North Carolina State College in Raleigh, North Carolina. After two months, he left his first job to enlist in the Air Force in 1950. He served a tour of duty in Korea during the war. After the war, he worked for Kraft Foods, Ocean Spray Cranberries, self-employed, and finally Hercules Aerospace, all across the northern tier of the United States. His hobbies included working on the familys dairy farm, boxing, singing in the church choir, gardening, cross-country skiing, bridge playing, opera. After retirement, he has dedicated much time and energy into the service of the ministries of Holladay Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 15, 2010, 1:00 p.m. at the Holladay Baptist Church, 2780 East 3900 South. Cremains will be interred at the Village Cemetery, Palmyra, New York. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Holladay Baptist Church in memory of Cliff Walton.
