Clinton James Layton, 40, of Safford passed away on Friday, June 12, 2020, at his home in Safford. He was born on October 27, 1979, in Safford to Russell Paul Layton and Becky Lynn Nutt Layton.
He graduated from Safford High School in 1998, and then served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Pocatello, Idaho. He attended Pima Medical Institute and became a Radiologic Technician. He was working for the San Carlos Apache Health Care. Clint loved golfing, hunting, farming with his brother, and spending time with his kids and family. He had a great sense of humor, he was very quick-witted, and could always make you laugh. He was very kindhearted, calm, and caring. He was always willing to help a person in need, and always willing to share his strong testimony of his Heavenly Father and Savior.
He is survived by his children, Cole, Chloe, and Lane; his parents, Rusty and Becky Layton; siblings, Jodi, Tracy (Raylee & Breann), Kevin, and Brandi (Brooke, Taylor & Latham Allred, Kayle, and Ashley).
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Russ & Betty Jo Layton, and Joyce & Ted Fink, and Foy & Martha Nutt; great grandparents, Ben & Tresa Sawell and Trav & Margaret Davis.
Visitation will be from 6-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at McDougal's Caldwell Funeral Chapel. The Funeral will be at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 24, at McDougal's Caldwell Funeral Chapel, with interment in the Thatcher Cemetery.
