Colleen Duane

Colleen Duane, age 71, passed away on June 5th, 2021. She was born to Frank Starr and Amelia Burr on June 13th, 1949. Colleen entered into life in Bylas, Arizona, and lived in the community for over 70 years! She had four siblings, Ernest Starr, James Starr, Sylvia McIntosh, and Solomon Starr Sr. Colleen attended Sherman Indian High school and graduated in 1970. Colleen married her husband McArthur Duane Sr. a year later in 1971 and had four children; Diane Duane, McArthur Duane Sr., Mondale Duane, and James Duane. Colleen enjoyed the many simple things in life. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, watching the Price is Right, and talking with her friends. She could be described as caring, funny, straightforward, and helpful. She is survived by her children Diane Duane, McArthur Duane Jr., Mondale Duane, James Duane, and her daughter-in-law Cleo Duane and her seven grandchildren, Tamara Rochelle Duane, Dinitra Denise Duane, Cloe Duane, Feather Duane, Montrell Duane, Cadence Duane, and Uriah Duane. Colleen is preceded in death by her husband McArthur Duane Sr., parents Frank Sr., Amelia Burr, and siblings Solomon Starr Sr., Sylvia McIntosh, James Starr, and Ernest Starr. Services will be held on June 16th, 5 A.M to 10 A.M. funeral service to follow after 10 AM at Duane's residence in Bylas, Arizona. Interment will follow in the Navajo Point Cemetery.
