Corwin Grimes

Corwin Grimes, aka Korn or Corn bread was born February 18, 1980 to Dinah Small Dosela and the late Conrad Kinney. Corwin was later adopted by Wheeler Grimes, Sr. and the late Diana Wesley Grimes of Bylas. They loved Corwin and raised him as their own. Corwin first attended the Regeneration Christian School in Ft. Thomas, Arizona and went on to attend Ft. Thomas Elementary and High Schools. After school, Corwin went to work for Forestry & Sanitation and was a carpenter and firefighter. Corwin would go with his cousin and friends to make staves (stays) for fencing. He was always lending a helping hand. You could always count on him to be there to help his father, Wheeler, and brother, Ira. Corwins cousin and best friend, Muncho, helped him with yard work and carpentry work, fixing houses for family and friends. In his free time, he enjoyed drawing, watching movies and listening to music. He loved being outdoors and enjoyed, hunting, fishing, sightseeing and going for walks. Corwin enjoyed traveling with his cousins Jason (Ace) & Dewey Wesley, to the Grand Canyon, Colorado and New Mexico. He also loved spending time with his nephew, Lowell Harvey. Corwin had numerous nieces and nephews who loved him and will miss him greatly. He was known to be a funny guy who always joked around with his family and friends. He made them laugh and they all enjoyed his company. Others would describe Corwin as a kind-hearted, funny, and hard working person. Corwin is survived by his sons, Corwin Grimes, Jr. and Josiah Grimes; father, Wheeler Grimes, Sr.; brothers, Ira and Shane Grimes; five sisters, Shirley Mae Grimes, Rose Grimes, Stephanie Grimes, Jamie Grimes and Abby Wilson; mother, Dinah Small Dosela; sisters, Felicia Moses, Francesca Small, Michelle Dosela, and Dondrea Wright; brothers, Terry Goseyun, Larry Dosela, Jr., Johnson Dosela and Lawrence Dosela. He is preceded in death by his mother, Diana Grimes, and sister, Tammy Grimes. A wake will be held on Friday, Octobr 18, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at the Wheeler Grimes residence in Bylas. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Stanley Memorial Hall in Bylas.
