Daniel Benjamin Soto, 25, of Phoenix passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2012 in Phoenix. He was born on October 26, 1986 in Safford, to Daniel L. Soto and Rebecca Soto. Daniel was interested in astronomy and he loved animals, drawing, tattooing, playing Xbox, watching movies, listening to music, taking car of his ferrets, skateboarding, and playing basketball. The birth of Daniels son Gavin was one of the highlights of his life. He was a successful tattoo artist who loved what he did. Some other memorable events in his life were his vacation to California and his first Cardinals game. He is survived by his parents; a son, Gavin Rios, of Safford; sisters, Michelle Soto of Safford, Kristy Soto of Safford, and Sandy (Ryan) Briscoe of Safford; grandmother, Maggie Soto of Safford; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by a son Isaiah Soto; sister, Brandi Soto; grandmother, Celia Benavidez; grandfather, Domingo Soto; Uncle, Ray Soto; and cousin, Annette Delacruz. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at the New Life City Church, with Dr. Phillip Tutor officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the Safford Cemetery.
